Sr. Database Technical Support Contract Job – New York City

Description:
Our client needs an IT specialist for supporting installations, troubleshooting, maintenance and additions for all of their software products. You will be technically responsible for all of the current and future software installed clients and will supervise any replacement or additions to client side databases and software.
Responsibilities:
* Technical support of client’s software products, on and off-site.
* Creating databases and datasets for new and current clients.
* Internal maintenance of production servers.
* Pre-sales technical discussions regarding products.
* Constant communication with all customers requiring support.
* Constant interaction with current IT specialists in New York and Chicago, as well as other support related personnel.
* Availability to provide support in off-hour situations.
Required Experience:
* 5 years Windows server O/S
* 5 years networking client applications
* 1 year experience supporting end users in DB environment
* Help desk experience in a financial environment
* Exceptional communications skills are required and are a must for phone support
* Exceptional appearance and presentation skills for training of corporate IT personnel
